Music, Creativity and Computational Arts

I am Professor of Digital Arts at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University and have previously been Research Manager for the Australasian CRC for Interaction Design (ACID) and Professor of Music and Sound at the Queensland University of Technology. My interests are in digital tools that support creativity and learning, computational music and art, and the philosophy of technology. My current research activities focus on the aesthetics of computational processes and generative and interactive audiovisuals. I am an active computer musician, computational artist, a builder of software tools that support creativity, and supervisor of research students.
